Portfolio Guide version 1.0
Updated 1/19/10
The administrative tools section is where you go to change things about your portfolio account. You can change your password, upload your photo, change your advisor and more. Let's go through each part. You can return to the main menu from any of the following screens by pressing the "Return to main menu" button at the top of the screen. You should use this method, rather than pressing your browsers back button, to avoid problems.
In the "Change Profile" section you can update or change your personal information. Change profile should look like this:

In the "Upload photo" section you can insert a photo of yourself to represent your portfolio. It should look like this:

To upload a photo click on the "Choose file" button and find the photo file on your computer. Please note that the file must be a JPEG and be less then 200KB. That's kilobytes, not megabytes. A good way to get a proper photo is to use the "Photo Booth" application on the Mac's. Any photo that you choose must be school appropriate.
Once you have chosen the file, you MUST press the upload button on the bottom of the screen for the changes to take affect.
In the "Change Password" section, you can change your password to something personal that only you will know. Make it something you won't forget though, because if you do forget it, it will have to be reset by someone else, and that may take some time. So, DONT FORGET YOR PASSWORD.
The change password screen should look like this:

This should be pretty straight forward. To change you password, just type in the box that says "new password". You have to type it in both boxes because the system wants to make sure you type the same thing both times. This way it knows that you really know your password, and didn't accidentally make a typo.
Make sure you press the "submit" button or your changes will not take affect.
Pushing this link will log you out of the portfolio system. You should always log out when your are done, or someone else may be able to get in to your portfolio and mess it all up!
Congratulations! You have successfully gone through administrative tools! Now lets go on to step 3, portfolio items. Go to next step
