Portfolio Guide version 1.0
Updated 1/19/10
Artifacts are what we call the individual pieces of work that you will put into your portfolio. They can be and essay, a multimedia presentation (like a keynote, powerpoint, or prezi), a video of a performance, or a photograph (perhaps of a piece of artwork you created or a diorama). Obviously, in order to make it into the portfolio, the artifact has to be in some sort of digital format. Since not all projects are digital (like a painting), we will cover how to make all artifacts digital in a later step. Just know that for now, the artifacts are the individual projects you will be uploading.
Remember the "Create / Manage Artifacts" main page from the last step? It looks like this:

To create a new artifact, click on the "Create new artifact" button at the top of the page. You should get a screen that looks like this:

Your filled out artifact page should look like this:

Once you have created your artifact, it will show up in you Create / Manage Artifacts main page in your In Progress Artifacts. Here you can see the artifact I just created called "My first artifact"

Congratulations! You have successfully created an artifact! Now lets go on to step 5, Preparing Projects. Go to next step
