This summer, ten EA students will participate in our “Summer Search” program. Summer Search is one of EA’s longest running partnerships, and over the course of the last 10 years they have provided students with amazing opportunities for growth and leadership development.  (You can learn more here.)

Students are nominated by staff during their 10th grade year, and once they are selected they receive mentoring, go on field trips, participate in service learning, receive college advising and more.

The hope is that through their three years in the Summer Search program, students will ultimately grow into the best versions of themselves.  In the words of Envision Academy Digital Literacy teacher John Kittredge:

What students experience is being pushed to their reflective, physical and emotional boundaries as they are forced to examine the realities of their lives, face and overcome fears that are placed in front of them on purpose, and come out of the crucible of expectations tempered and skilled to a level they never knew was personally possible.  Kids who fully engage in Summer Search become elite versions of themselves.“
