Parking: There is metered street parking around the school, as well as several pay lots nearby. If you are coming for an event, we suggest arriving 10 minutes early to allow time for parking. The parking meters run from 8:00am – 6:00pm, and cost $2 per hour. There is a 12-minute zone located in front of the school for quick pick up and drop off, and also several handicap spaces available.
Public Transportation: EA is easily accessible from the 12th Street BART Station and from any bus line that passes through downtown Oakland. The walk from BART/Civic Center takes about 10 minutes.
Office Hours: The main office is open from 8:30-4:00 pm except for 30 minutes while lunch is being served. Our staff is usually on campus well before and after these times. If you need to complete registration paperwork, ask about enrollment, or request transcripts, please come during the Office Hours.
Our Building: Envision Academy is located inside the historic YWCA building, which was designed and built by Julia Morgan. The building is listed on the Alameda County National Register of Historic Places, and EA is fortunate to be the steward of such a beautiful facility steeped in Oakland history.
Our Neighborhood: EA is located just outside the heart of downtown Oakland, within walking distance to Lake Merritt, Snow Park, Civic Center, China Town, the central library and the central post office. We are proud to be part of the vibrant and growing downtown Oakland.
