1:1 COMPUTER ACCESS:
Every student will receive their own laptop to use every day at school. This means no waiting for online access and no waiting to learn and grow. Students will use their laptops on math and reading skill building platforms, for research, and to collaborate with their classmates and teachers. Access to this resource supports us to accelerate student learning and growth!

ADVISORY:
At EAMG, every school day will begin with students meeting in Advisory. This is a special structure that welcomes students into learning and builds community between students and teachers. During Advisory, students gather in circle to engage in daily greetings, conversations and activities to build community and resilience. Advisory makes a difference for students by grounding them each day in positive, supportive relationships.
PROJECT-BASED LEARNING
During the school day, students learn through projects. This means that they learn and practice necessary academic skills and then apply them to real world events or issues that they care about. Students get to practice at their own pace and they learn how to think about always improving. EAMG students develop four key mindsets that help them prepare for high school and college:
- Teamwork
- Growth
- Reasoning
- Discovery

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM:
EAMG is partnering with The People’s Conservatory to provide a rich After School Program to students and families. TPC is an Oakland-based organization that helps young artists create, explore and perform, in an effort to promote cultural awareness and positive social change. TPC offers programming in literary arts, music, theatre, visual arts and more.
